The Orthopaedic and Spine Center keeps its patients informed by offering:

  • Multimedia education tools to ensure a complete understanding
  • Community outreach seminars
  • Pre-op classes for patients and family members
  • Patient guidebooks
  • Daily newsletters and agendas during hospital stay
  • Educational wall displays with answers to frequently asked questions
  • HomeWork recovery kit

Group Therapy is a unique approach to joint replacement recovery that includes:

  • Group exercise allowing patients to benefit from the support and encouragement of fellow patients
  • Patients and families taking part in group meals and activities together
  • Encouraged social interaction
  • “Graduation” and a group photo at the end of each week’s session

We encourage patients to select a family member or “coach” to attend informational sessions and aid in the recovery both in the hospital and at home. To make this easier for family members, each private room has a roll-out bed where the coach can sleep.

We have a full staff of dedicated nurses, occupational and physical therapists that are specially trained to provide comprehensive clinical care. Each patient receives personal attention from the same nurse throughout the recovery period.

The Center's exceptional medical staff is complemented by a comfortable atmosphere. Our facility has private, hotel-style recovery rooms and amenities, and patients are encouraged to wear their own clothes, rather than hospital gowns.
