Do I need a navigator?

Individuals receiving treatment at Touro are offered the services of a registered nurse who helps them “navigate” the challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment. Designed to find ways to overcome obstacles to cancer care, our cancer care navigator, Lori Dean, RN, OCN, assists patients with a wide variety of needs that involves:

problem-solving
sharing information
coordinating appointments
finding resources
locating appropriate services
providing support.

Touro's navigator is available to assist you throughout your cancer treatment and beyond.
