Cancer Conference
One of the most dynamic aspects of a cancer program is the tumor board, otherwise known as Cancer Conference. Here, multiple specialists, including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Pathology and Radiology, come together to evaluate treatment management of patients recently diagnosed with cancer.
This multidisciplinary approach is designed to assure the cancer patient receives the most highly recommended treatment modalities, specific to their disease process.
The tumor board at Touro Infirmary takes place every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
