Touro Health Career Camp

To promote careers in nursing and allied health, Touro Volunteer Services will host the 5th annual Health Career Camp, July 23-27. This is an intense one-week program for rising juniors, seniors and recent high school graduates interested in a healthcare career.

The curriculum includes 10 clinical rotations as well as CPR training and a special session on emergency preparedness. Working in small teams, students benefit from hands-on learning activities as well as the opportunity to meet and observe healthcare professionals in their work environment.

Through partnerships with area colleges and universities with healthcare programs, campers also have the opportunity to meet and discuss their career plans with school recruiters.

Touro's Career Camp is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Jackie Wolff Fund.
About the Jackie Wolff Fund: This fund honors the life of Jackie Wolff who was 21 when she was killed by a drunk driver while studying abroad in Vienna 1978. Jackie was the daughter of Frankie and Leonard Wolff. The fund originally funded nursing scholarships at Touro and will now be used toward the Health Career Camp.
