General Information
- The 2009 program will be held Mon., July 27 – Fri., July 31
- On Fri., Aug. 1 at 5 p.m. there will be a graduation reception for students and their families.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Entering junior or senior year of high school
- Have a 2.5 GPA and an interest in a healthcare career (other than as a physician).
Instructions
- Complete and return the entire application by Fri., Apr. 10, 2009.
- Have a teacher and another professional (coach, pastor, guidance counselor) complete and mail the reference forms.
- Answer the essay questions describing why you should be considered for this program, your interests in a healthcare career and what you would like to learn by participating.
- A $75 non-refundable registration fee will be due upon acceptance. (Financial assistance available)
A select number of students will be interviewed. Finalists must also meet medical requirements and obtain their parents’ consent before the program begins.
All applications must be received by Touro by Friday, Apr. 10, 2009.
Enrollment is limited to 35 students! Please do not apply if you are unable to attend all five days of the program. Program staff will review the applications and choose the students best suited to the program. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by Mon. May 4.
