Chronic Pain Center Facts

At Touro's Chronic Pain Program, we help patients develop skills that will diminish their pain experience so that they can return to a normal home and work lifestyle. With a specialized setting and pain management team, Touro's pain program represents a distinct and separate area of treatment and rehabilitation. Services are provided through a continuum of care from the most intensive Inpatient program with progression to Day Treatment or an individualized Outpatient treatment plan.

Participation doesn't end once patients leave us.  Each patient is empowered to manage their pain through a network of techniques and support systems. In the end, our team helps to create a larger team - which includes patients, families, physicians, employers, referral sources, and insurance representatives. It's a team that communicates with one another - a dynamic, personal response to the problems faced by all patients who are on the way to regaining control of their lives.

Touro's Chronic Pain Center is a CARF Accredited Program. This means that it has been recognized as a rehabilitation leader and has demonstrated conformance to state-of-the-art standards developed by rehabilitation professionals from across the country with input from patients and their family members.
