The ED is fully integrated with disaster relief and disaster services through involvement in the Metropolitan Hospital District's disaster response initiative and the Louisiana disaster response plan.
Committed to improved care, our dedication to education and training is uncompromising. We are affiliated with both LSU and Tulane medical schools and serve as a training site for multiple nursing, physician, and paramedic training programs. We also serve as a clinical rotation site for the Delgado emergency medical technician training program and radiology technician's training program. Finally, a full-time clinical nurse specialist is committed to insuring on-going training and expertise in emergent nursing care.
