The Touro Family Birthing Center offers Level III OB care in a beautiful, peaceful setting in Uptown New Orleans.
Our amenities include:
- Private, family-oriented labor and delivery rooms and postpartum rooms
- Fully equipped observation and operating rooms
- 24-hour anesthesia coverage
- Two well-baby nurseries
- The latest technology in fetal monitoring, IV therapy and cardio respiratory care
- A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- A perinatology clinic to care for mothers and babies with special health needs
- Daily breastfeeding assistance for nursing mothers by Board Certified Lactation Consultants
Family Birthing Center Tours
Tours of the birthing center are held at the following days and times:
- The first Tuesday of every month at 9:00 AM
- The second Saturday of every month at 11:00 AM
- The third Thursday of every month at 4:00 PM
The tours begin in the Labor and Delivery waiting room and are free of charge. No registration is required.
