Our Family Birthing Center is one of the finest technical facilities in the area, designed to keep you and your baby safe and healthy. Besides getting the best care possible, new mothers go through labor, delivery and recovery in the same room, each with its own private bath and crib room, providing all the comfort and intimacy of home with all the medical attention and security Touro offers.
Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides around-the-clock care for babies, either preemies or full term, with serious health problems. In fact, our Level III Nursery is equipped to care for seriously ill newborns. You'll sleep easier knowing that our perinatology and neonatology staff is always on duty. We also have a certified lactation consultant to help mothers and babies get the best possible start with breastfeeding.
The Family Birthing Center team is committed to providing the very best health care before and after childbirth. Certified childbirth instruction in both Lamaze and Bradley methods is available, as are classes for siblings, prenatal care and breastfeeding.
