As a tribute to this year’s honoree, Touro Archivist Catherine C. Kahn, the JTS Reception, held April 4 at Café Touro, transported attendees to a late 19th century fair, complete with elegant fair décor and ragtime music by Tom McDermott and Evan Christopher. A warm orange glow permeated the room, which was dotted with oversized reproductions of the 1896 Touro Fair Program. The Genealogical Research Station gave attendees the chance to search their family history via the Archives’ remote database.
