Medical Education

The Medical Education Department, located on the second floor in the Medical Staff Office, coordinates the orientation process and record keeping for the resident and fellowship programs. Medical Education also keeps a record of medical staff CME credits earned at Touro, manages the unreffered call schedule and is available to provide physicians with work history verification.

Physicians who are new to Touro’s residency and fellowship program must attend a one-time orientation program the first working day of every month. Physicians should come prepared with a copy of their driver’s license, school ID, MD license number and ECFMG. All others must check in with the Medical Education desk at the beginning of every month to confirm their continued participation in the program.

Feel free to contact Kellie Smith, Medical Education Coordinator, with any questions you may have at 504-897-8392 or kellie.smith@touro.com.
