The inpatient Spinal Cord Injury Program provides rehabilitation services for patients with spinal cord injuries or spinal cord dysfunction.

Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation services are provided based on orders from the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians who provide and recommend clinical care specific to a patient’s diagnosis and any other underlying medical conditions. PM&R physicians evaluate every patient to identify and order those services needed to overcome barriers to function. Services include rehabilitation nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, speech therapy, respiratory therapy and case management. Rehabilitation treatment plans of care are goal directed based on needs identified by the rehabilitation team, as well as those of the patient and family.
