Vice President of Rehabilitation and Post Acute Services
Jeanette has worked in the field of rehabilitation for more than 20 years with eight of those years having been spent at Touro Rehabilitation Center from 1987 through 1995. Returning to Touro in 2009 after a 14-year absence, As Vice President of Rehabilitation and Post Acute Services, Jeanette oversees the operations of the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, the wound care center, Touro at Home and Woldenberg Village long term care, assisted living and independent living centers.
Jeanette’s experience includes serving as Director of Case Management at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, as well as Rehabilitation Program Manager at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has been a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2000 and served on the council at CARF that established the standards to accredit programs in medical rehabilitation case management.
Jeanette is a Certified Case Manager and Licensed Professional Counselor. She received both a bachelor of science in Biology and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (UL Lafayette).
Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs
Janet earned her Masters of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of Texas-Austin in 1986. She immediately became a Rehab Counselor in the Brain Injury Program at F. Edward Hebert Hospital in New Orleans. She later worked at the Neurological Rehabilitation Center of the Gulf Coast in Slidell as a Program Case Manager and in 1993 joined RehabCare Group as a Program Director and later as a Program Consultant. By 2000, Janet served as Program Director of Rehab at Lakeland Medical Center and in 2007 became the Touro Rehab Center as Program Manager and is now Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs.
Director of Acute and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
In 1985 Marylee graduated from LSUHSC (BS in OT). She is now pursing her Advanced Masters in OT from AT Still University (Graduate in August 2010). In 1985, she began her career as an OT at Ochsner in the mental health department. Her Touro career started in 1987 first in BIAC on St. Charles Ave in the Industrial Rehab Program. She has rotated through acute, SNF, Psych, Chronic Pain and Outpatient. Later serving as the Student Coordinator and Supervisor of various areas, she was promoted to Director of Occupational Therapy in 1994. In 1997, Marylee assumed NRC management responsibilities along with Speech in 2007 and Physical Therapy in 2009 when she eventually became Director of Acute and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services.
Lynn Drake, Patient Care Manager
Brain Injury Program
Lynn is a 1985 graduate of the Touro Infirmary School of Nursing. She then started working on M9 General Rehab for Touro Rehab Center. In 1988 she opened the M6 TBI Unit and in 1990 opened the W6 TBI Unit. Throughout the 90s she worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator, and from 2002-2007 Lynn supervised M4 General Rehab Unit along with M6/W6. As Director of Nursing of Touro Rehab Center & PCM M6/W6/W4 during the years of 2007-2009 she opened the M4 TBI Unit in 2009.
Brain Injury Program
In 2007, Natalie graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from LSUHSC (received the Physical Therapy Award for Academic Excellence in 2007 at LSUHSC). She began her career as PT in 2007 at Touro Rehab Center. In 2009, she was promoted to Program Supervisor of BI Program.
Paul Trahan, Patient Care Manager
General Rehab & Spinal Cord Injury Program
Paul graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994. In 1994-2002 started his career as a Med/Surg Nurse; then a Rehab Nurse and ultimately in 1997 a Rehab Charge Nurse at Lakeland Medical Center. From 2002-2008, Paul served as the Rehab Patient Care Manager; then Director of Rehab Services at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Presently, Paul is the Patient Care Manager for General Rehab and SCI Programs at Touro Rehab Center.
April Bretz, Program Supervisor
Spinal Cord Injury Program
April is a graduate from Tulane University with a BS in Biology. In 1994 she graduated from LSUMC in New Orleans with a BS in Physical Therapy. April started her career at Touro in 1994 and was promoted to Program Supervisor of the SCI Program in 2009.
Keith Randazzo, Program Supervisor
Neuro Rehab Center (NRC)
Keith graduated from Tulane University with a Masters in Social Work. He also is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor. Keith has been in employed at Touro for 14 years. Initially hired as the Vocational Specialist, he then became the NRC Program Coordinator. In 2009, Keith was promoted to Program Supervisor of NRC.
Melinda Rome, Program Supervisor
Back In Action (BIAC)
Melinda has been practicing PT and been employed by Touro Infirmary for 22 years. She started her career at Touro in the acute setting where in 1992 she joined the BIAC team as a staff PT. In 1994, she was promoted to BIAC Supervisor. In 2001, she completed required course work and the exam to become a certified McKenzie Therapist specializing in mechanical diagnosis and therapy of the spine and in 2009 was promoted to Program Supervisor of BIAC.
