
Our Spinal Cord Injury Program is dedicated to helping spinal cord patients regain their highest level of functioning as quickly as possible while promoting independence and community/home/academic re-entry.
The program includes:
- Spinal Cord Board-certified physiatrist
- Medical management on the unit
- Daily educational classes for patient and family (a 4 week series)
- Vocational/Supportive employment, Driving assessment, depending on the patient's individual needs

Our Admission staff will evaluate a prospective patient's rehabilitation potential, develop an individual plan of care, research funding sources, project length of stay and life long planning needs, and estimate costs. Patients who are being weaned from the ventilator may also be considered for treatment. Accommodations are available for those wishing to stay near the hospital and their loved ones.
