The Touro Family Birthing Center offers a full service lactation service center for breastfeeding mothers. Education and assistance with breastfeeding by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, as well as opportunities to purchase breastfeeding supplies and equipment, are available right here on our premises.
Breastfeeding Classes
Prenatal breastfeeding classes are offered monthly 12 months out of the year. Our goal is to provide basic yet detailed information for mothers who are interested in learning more about this special way of feeding their baby.

Breastfeeding Counseling
For situations in which telephone consultation is not enough, office visits with a lactation consultant are available by appointment.
Breastfeeding Supplies And Equipment
Nursing bras, breast pads, nursing pillows, lanolin breast cream, breast pumps, and pump supplies are available for purchase. Call to schedule an appointment to obtain your supplies.
Breast Pump Rentals And Sales
Medela breast pumps are available for rental or purchase. Call for more information.
Employee Lactation Program
Employees of Touro Infirmary can take advantage of the lactation room located in the Family Birthing Center. Breast pumps as well as refrigeration are provided for obtaining and storing breast milk while the employee is on duty. Individual consultation services are also available.
