Touro Rehabilitation Center

Touro Rehabilitation Center (TRC) is a regional referral center and home to nationally recognized programs for brain and spinal cord injury as well as comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation. Touro is the only hospital in Louisiana accredited in several subspecialty areas by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). TRC carries on its tradition of excellence in rehabilitation as a 65-bed facility led by Gary Glynn, M.D., Medical Director, and a staff with a national reputation for excellence in the field of rehabilitation dating back more than 25 years.

Touro Rehabilitation Center programs provide interdisciplinary rehabilitation to physically and cognitively challenged individuals, 16 years and older. The goals of the programs are to prevent or minimize impairment and disability, facilitate community re-entry and help those return home to enjoy life with the highest degree of independence.

Programs include: Inpatient General Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury, and Brain Injury Programs; outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lymphedema management and therapeutic wellness at our Back in Action Center; outpatient neurological rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, therapeutic recreation, neuropsychological services, and driver assessments in our Neurological Rehabilitation Center. In addition, Touro Rehabilitation Center works closely with Touro at Home (home health) and The Wound Healing Center at Touro Infirmary.
