Spinal cord injury education
Patient education classes
The Spinal Cord Specialty Program holds daily educational classes from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Classes are free and offered to anyone who has a spinal cord injury or related disability. Participants do not need to be patients of Touro Infirmary. Classes focus on a number of topics specific to spinal cord injury that help prepare patients for lifelong management of their injury and provide a roadmap for lifelong progress and success in the community.
The class schedule is determined monthly. For information about participation in all or specific classes please e-mail SpinalCordInjuryProgram@LCMCHealth.org or call 504.897.8684.
Family education day
Spinal Cord Injury Family Education Day occurs the last Friday of every month in Conference room M1002 on the 10th floor at Touro Infirmary. It is open to families of current patients in the program as well as the community at large. If you are interested in participation at Spinal Cord Injury Family Education Day please e-mail SpinalCordInjuryProgram@LCMCHealth.org or call 504.897.8684.

PACT also has its own Facebook group to keep up with community events, share stories, and continue to provide support outside of monthly meetings.
